Low Key Arts is pleased to announce Inception to Projection, 2018!

Inception to Projection is a 6-week intensive film class open to all ages. Every participant will write, direct and produce their own original 2-4 minute short and the final films will screen at a special event produced by Low Key Arts as well as at Arkansas Shorts in January 2019.

SCRIPT WRITING MASTER CLASS:
Taught by Samuel Brett Williams

DIRECTING & PRODUCING MASTER CLASS:
Taught by Jen Gerber

Screenwriting Lecture classes are spent learning the fundamentals of writing for the screen such as pitches, outlines, treatments, notecards, and then screenplay pages. Participants will prepare a short film script that they will then learn how to produce themselves.

Production Lecture classes are spent learning filmmaking fundamentals such as directing, producing, casting, cinematography and editing. Participants are expected to work on small crews for one another, giving each filmmaker an opportunity not only to write and direct their own film but also practice production roles such as cinematographer, producer, 1st assistant director, sound recorder or production designer.

We welcome you to explore and discuss with us the experience of listening inspired by our daily sonic environments. These exercises are inspired by sonic meditations created by Pauline Oliveros and her Deep Listening Institute. This involves active and attentive use of the voice, and auditory senses within a group setting. Artists from all fields of discipline will benefit from this holistic practice. Group sound interactions will be recorded with the intention of using them on an upcoming Loud Sun album.
